What’s YOUR TED talk?

Picture it.

A red circle carpet. The letters TEDx in wooden 3D adorn the dimly lit stage. The crowd whispers as the Emcee reads an introduction... it's your bio. You know - the one you begrudgingly put together for various work and networking functions.

Suddenly, you hear your name and clapping as you walk out, take your spot on that red dot, look out to the crowd and begin.

So... what do you say?

This is the focus of the 4th month of Thriving Visibility for small business owners, but it’s also the kernel behind The Talk Maker (my 90 minute talk creation workshop).

What. Do. You. Say?

In addition to being a speaking, visibility and confidence coach, I’ve also been the Speaker Advisor for the award-winning TEDxQueensU since 2020 and I’ve coached TEDx speakers around the world, like Jerico Mandybur’s incredible The World Needs Weirdos, which made it to the TED main site..

Here’s what I think is most important

What is important to you? What are your values?

If you have a small business, why? Who does it serve and why is it important? Why are you clocking all of these hours with your sweat, sleeplessness (and probably your own money here and there, right?) What about it deserve so much of your attention?

That's what we want to hear. As a TEDx audience, and as people who want to buy from you or work with you. We want to know your passion, your "why".

And the best part it, coming out of this 8-12 minute talk will be a whole plethora of new marketing and copy materials, nevermind an actual talk that you can give at conferences, seminars and business meet ups.

We write it together and then we work on the performance of it, and then we perform it in front of the group.

Thriving Visibility for speakers and small business owners

The 4th month of my popular program Thriving Visibility is called "Welcome to my TED talk" and it combines all of the work from the previous 3 months into creating this piece for yourself.

And it's the best.

[So good, in fact, that other groups have taken this idea and tried to do it themselves. They don’t have the same experience as I do, though, so as the popular, also stolen, phrase goes “let them”.]

Make sure to check out when the next cohort begins [as of writing, that would be September 2025], and in the meantime - what do you care about?
